Policies & Admission Information

Our Pre-K program has three sessions: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Pre-K meets for a full day, Monday through Friday. Family Connections’ Pre-K program observes the same closure dates as the San Francisco Unified School District.

Our Pre-K programs are led by multilingual teachers. Children that are learning English are encouraged to enroll, as teachers provide individualized support and translations in Spanish, Cantonese, and Vietnamese as needed. Pre-K children learn songs in multiple languages and celebrate various cultural holidays in the classroom.

Tuition is made monthly, beginning on the date of registration. Tuition is based on enrollment in the program session dates and not based on attendance. A $50 non-refundable registration fee is due annually and for new enrollment.

2024 Tuition Costs:

  • Tuition for 3-year-olds: $165 per week + $50 fee
  • Tuition for 4 and 5-year-olds: $100 per week + $50 fee

Family Connections prioritizes enrollment for low-income families that reside in San Francisco. This includes families that enroll using vouchers from Early Learning San Francisco, Preschool for All, or their Maximum Reimbursable Amount (MRA) funding. We are available to assist your family with applications for these voucher programs. Please contact us to learn more.

  • Refunds are only given within 15 days of the initial registration date.
  • Refunds/prorates cannot be granted for absences due to illness or vacation.
  • Refunds will not be given if you choose to cancel or drop from the program, or if your child is suspended or terminated from the program.

Our mission is to make high-quality early childhood education accessible to families.

  • We offer financial assistance to families that qualify, with income verification and as slots are available.
  • Sibling Discounts: A 10% tuition reduction is offered (excluding non-refundable registration) to each sibling after the first child pays the regular tuition fees.
  • Please inquire with the Administrative Coordinator: 415.715.6476, prek@fccenters.org

Our Pre-K programs are offered for children ages 3-5. We require that all children are fully potty-trained prior to enrolling with us.

As a licensed childcare facility, our agency will continue to adhere to stricter guidelines than the general public. We continue to require COVID-19 vaccinations for all staff, program participants, and visitors and regular sanitation of all surfaces. We will continue to monitor changes and evaluate the most practical and safest protocols for staff, visitors, and program participants.

Family Connections Centers operates licensed childcare centers. All teachers and administrative staff are credentialed in adherence to the guidelines and protocols of community care licensing. This includes education units, degrees, certification (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Pesticides, etc.), professional development training, background checks, and more.

To begin the process, please complete our Pre-K Interest Form. A staff member will be in touch with the next steps and enrollment details.
